Silver Banner Grass
A creeping grass with grey-green leaves and large silvery flower spikes turning reddish and feathery in autumn.Excellent specimen plants and look great in the herbaceous border. They can also be used in waterside planting schemes.Position: full sunSoil: fertile, moist, well drained or sandyRate of growth: average to fastFlowering period: late summer - early autumnFlower colour: silvery/white turning redHardiness: frost hardy (needs winter protection)Garden care: Cut back the withered stems to the ground in early spring. Divide in late spring by removing small sections from the rootball of the mature plant, without digging the complete plant up.
