Regal Lily
Majestic sprays of up to 25 highly scented, trumpet-shaped, white flowers, flushed purple on the outside, in July and August. These summer-flowering lilies look marvellous emerging from a tall galvanized container or the back of a sunny border. Guaranteed to create a bold statement, they grow well in most soils except those which are very alkaline.The RSPCA have recently reported that all parts of lilies can be fatal to cats, including the flower, leaves and pollen. Stake with ring stakes or bamboo canes in spring before the flowers appear. Deadhead the faded blooms and cut the stems back to ground level at the end of autumn |
