The unit will automatically switch off when full. The flap valve at the end of the 2.5m drain-hose which has been placed on a downhill incline away from the unit, will automatically open as the vacuum stops allowing the sludge to drain out into the garden. This is great fertilizer.A collection bag, supplied, can be used on the end to allow the sludge to be collected, for desired dispersal. This then lets the water run away or be drained back into the pond. Once empty the VacuPond Cleaner is simply switched back on with the in-built switch in the handle for the next charge of sludge....
