Towering spires of pale yellow flowers from June to July and attractive, grey-green foliage. This tall hollyhock is hybrid of Alcea rosea and Althaea officinalis, and is ideal for adding vertical interest in a sunny, well-drained border. As the plants are tall they will need to be staked when young.Position: full sunSoil: moderately-fertile, well-drained soilRate of growth: fast-growing Flowering period: June and July Flower colour: pale yellowHardiness:fully hardyGarden care:Water well during dry spells. To prevent 'rust' from taking hold either spray with Bordeaux Mixture (organic) or Murphy Tumbleblite (non-organic) every 10-14 days.
