Today they are still used in Indian festivals and pagaents, and in the north of India are used by grooms at weddings.Great for shading a chair or table, these parasols are entirely handmade by skilled craftsmen. Each part is carefully assembled by hand and the teak wood used is from sustainable plantations. The cloth is made from a mix of acrylic and polyester which has been water proofed and the brass has also been coated so it won't tarnish. |
